On December 02, 2019 we were invited to present SHRIMP at the Digital Humanities Day organized by the Forum Digital Humanities Leipzig (Uni Leipzig), which took place this year at the Grassi Museum. As part of a poster slam, we presented SHRIMP and the current project status - all in just sixty seconds! Visitors who were interested in a more detailed introduction to the project after this little and compact "appetizer" could visit us at a poster exhibition afterwards.
When starting a class, everbody has their personal goals – some people want to improve their skills or knowledge, some just want to pass, other’s like to be one of the best. Did you wonder what your fellow students aspire to? We have the answer!
Shortly after the start of the semester we want to present you some statistics! Remember the test you had to take before you could use SHRIMP? On the basis of these questions we wanted to find out what type of learner you are in order to customize SHRIMP according to your personal learning needs. Now we have evaluated the test results and determined the exact distribution of learning types in your seminar – interesting to find out how your fellow students prefer to learn, isn't it?
In order to customize SHRIMP according to our students’ needs and to personalize the platform as well as possible, we try to determine the individual learning type of each user with a short test at the beginning of each semester. We distinguish between four learning types:
Last Friday, November 8, 2019, the SHRIMP team introduced the platform at “5. Tag der Lehre” with the format “Digitale Insel” on the main campus of the University of Leipzig. The focus of this year’s event was on the future of higher education (“Zukunft der Lehre”) - a perfect setting for presenting our current project results and plans.

The event focuses on the exchange on subject-specific and interdisciplinary questions of teaching and learning. We will present SHRIMP, our latest results and insights and the team behind the project. Come over and say hello between 11-12.30 h! The video shows some impressions of last year's event:
Project reports and other documentary studies, whitepapers etc., will be published Saxony's open access server Qucosa. This page documents all of these along with all forthcoming academic publications on the project:
